MOUNTAIN BIKING
Mountains, forests and rough terrain, we have a variety of areas to test your bike adrenaline.
Escape Bike shop - If you want to use your own power to get out and about then Escape Bikes can offer mountain bike hire and have organised trail rides you can join.
WALKING
The Land of Caves and Waterfalls has the perfect walk for you whether you're looking for a stroll, hike or marathon.
Westhouse Walks - Gentle strolls between 3 and 5 miles over beautiful countryside, starting from the site entrance on well marked paths.
Ingleton Waterfall Trail - a more ambitious 5 mile strenuous hike up stone steps, through forest paths, over river bridges past 6 sets of stunning waterfalls. Wear walking boots, take water and a little towel.
3 Peaks - The Yorkshire three peaks can be tackled from Ingleton giving a 30 mile marathon route including 1500m of climbing up Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside. Or you could just try Ingleborough to give you a taste before committing to all three! Make sure you have planned your route carefully, have plenty of food and clothing supplies as it gets very cold at the top.
ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES
Inglesport - If you’re an experienced caver, climber or swimmer then head to Inglesport for some expert local knowledge and kit hire or purchase.
Saaig - 3 peaks, navigate, night walks, hill climbs, abseiling and exploring caves; SAAIG Outdoors can tailor trips to suit your requirements or join one of their activity days.
Whitescar caves - If those options are a bit out of your comfort zone then why not start your adventure underground at the England’s longest show cave, safe for all the family. The cave offers guided tours every hour in peak season.
Vertical skills - Caving, climbing, abseiling and canyoning. The Yorkshire dales are packing with hidden adventures.
HORSE RIDING
Greenhall Riding school - If you’d like to explore, but want a four legged friend to take the strain then local riding stables Greenhall can cater for riders with any level of experience
BARS AND RESTAURANTS
If your idea of a holiday revolves more around delicious food and drinks than adrenalin, then Ingleton can meet your needs in abundance, there really is something for everyone.
OPO - The quirkiest microbar, complete with armoury, Gallery and secret garden. World beers, artisan gins and fabulous wines.
Wheatsheaf - A summer in the beer garden and a large dining room, is great for the bigger crowd.
Marton Arms - on our doorstep you can't miss their 52 Gins and Field to Fayre Menu.
La Tavernetta - Take away or eat in Pizza and Pasta.
Inglenook - Fish and chip shop.
Masons - Beautiful home cooked food, served with a warm welcome and offering local traditional ales.

EVENTS
CAFE
There are a plethora of cafes and takeaway shops in the village with home-baked goodies on offer all day.
For a very small village we do like to entertain.
Sheafstock – Easter weekend, a live music weekend based at the Wheatsheaf and raising funds for the local cricket club. This event sees over a dozen bands, playing all kinds of music Complete with BBQ in the beer garden.
Ingleton 1940’s weekend – Usually the first weekend in July Ingleton is taken over by re-enactors, becoming an occupied French village. There are vintage vehicles, musical acts, stalls and games, parades and some years even a flypast.
Ingleton Gala and Ingleborough mountain race – 3rd Saturday in July, glorious weather and the whole village turns out to celebrate a fun filled family day. Starting with a fancy dress parade leading to fun, games and bags of entertainment. There really is something for everyone to enjoy.
