Meadow Falls is a joint venture, shaped equally by the unique passions and skills of both Liz and Dave Holman, co-owners who together have poured their heart and soul into creating this special place.

Dave loves exploring the underground wonders of the Dales and you'll often see him chatting with campers, sharing local knowledge, or wielding tools to keep the grounds pristine, always ready to lend a hand or fix a wobble. – Check out Dave's Blog: "Trucks to Tents"
While Liz is drawn to the beauty above ground - constantly working behind the scenes on everything from updating blogs and social posts, managing bookings and enquiries, to keeping the internal cogs of the business turning. Don't be fooled by her less visible on-site presence, though; Liz is no stranger to a power tool and during closed season is often wading through mud or getting brambled in a hedge – together, she and Dave have personally built most of the Glamping pods. It's this combined dedication, with each bringing their awesome attributes, that truly shapes the welcoming and pristine haven of Meadow Falls.
Liz's Path to Perfection: From Beauty Therapy to Campsite Excellence
Liz's journey began in a world focused on true customer service: beauty therapy. Even as she left college, her dedication was clear, marked by the Geraldine Woodall Award for Endeavour. It was evident then that Liz was destined for great things. Her drive was unmistakable; From working in a small salon, to renting a room in a hairdresser's, and eventually running her own successful home salon with staff, Liz was constantly pushing to do more, deliver more, and achieve more. This drive to excel was clearly seen when she was named Pedicurist of the Year in 2010 and Manicurist of the Year in 2012 at the National Nail Championships.

Applying for and attending these prestigious awards meant Liz was always at the forefront of her industry, constantly updating her skills with the latest trends and product developments. Not only did she excel herself, but she also passionately encouraged her staff to pursue their own growth too, sharing her unique tips and tricks. It was this passion for teaching and elevating others that led her to complete a PTLLS course for further education, ultimately becoming the local UK trainer for Repechage skin care company.
It's abundantly clear that delivering high-quality customer service runs deep in Liz's veins.
This isn't just a job for her; it's a fundamental approach to everything she does. That same dedication to excellence, meticulous attention to detail, and passion for creating exceptional experiences—perfected through years in the beauty industry—are now the bedrock of Meadow Falls.
The Heart Behind the Haven: Personal Investment and Guest Joy
For Liz, there's a simple, yet profound, source of satisfaction: "If you're happy, I'm happy." She loves to see campers genuinely enjoying themselves, trying new things, and sharing their joys of the outdoors with their families. This commitment to ensuring a positive guest experience and exceptional customer service really does come from within.
Running Meadow Falls hasn't been without its significant hurdles, the journey of Building the Dream Campsite can be found in our dedicated blog, and boy has it been a journey! But when faced with adversity, Liz is not one to be beaten. This business is deeply "personal" to both Dave and Liz; it's their pride and joy, into which they've poured everything. So, when things go wrong or constructive criticism comes in, it cuts deep. Every piece of feedback is genuinely taken on board and worked on, and every shiny review is truly felt, inspiring them to build on the things you love.

Liz acknowledges, "You can't please everyone all the time, that's life. But laughing, smiling, and giggling is infectious, so let's sprinkle a bit everywhere we go. If everyday I make 1 person, 2 people or a site full of guests smile, that makes me smile too."
The continuous hard work and personal touch clearly resonate. When Tripadvisor reviews rank Meadow Falls as the #1 campsite in Ingleton, or it's named Best Small Site by Practical Caravan magazine, and recognised as Holiday Site Operator of the Year by Shortyz, it's clear that the personal service and unwavering attention to detail are not missed. These accolades are a testament to Liz's philosophy: a commitment to excellence born from a deep personal investment to provide a clean, safe space to explore the fantastic Yorkshire Dales while creating magical memories for all the family.
